In this article, I dig into my research on the Wendigo. Funny enough, the entire reason why I started researching the Wendigo was not because of the actual legend. When I first started thinking about creating this podcast, I searched on Google for Canada’s top urban legends. One of the supposed urban legends that popped up a few times was the Wendigo of Fort Kent, Alberta, which I had never heard of before. I lived in St. Paul, Alberta, close to Fort Kent, in 2006, and this supposed legend was never mentioned.

In this article, we will look at questions like:

  • What is the Wendigo?
  • What was the history and folklore that started the legend of the Wendigo?
  • What is the story behind the Wendigo of Fort Kent, Alberta?
  • What is the truth behind the Wendigo creature?

* That’s the end of the free intro to the article! If you are interested in access to the full articles, along with other articles, full video interviews, and live Zoom meetings with me once a month, become a KDK Ghoul Guild member!
