Long bio
K.D. Kulpa is a horror author based in Regina, SK, Canada. Growing up in a haunted house in Nipawin, SK, sparked her interest in the paranormal and horror genre. While growing up, she could be found reading Stephen King, Anne Rice, and other horror novels. She also loved horror movies, no matter how cheesy, from Halloween, Scream, Nightmare Before Elm Street, and even Dr. Giggles.
Searching for ghosts has also been a big influence into her writing. Both as a child and, now, as an adult, she’s fascinated with ghost stories and history. This has led to her starting her own paranormal radio show and podcast that focuses on western Canada paranormal and history. Since the paranormal blends well into all things supernatural, she’s also fascinated with creatures and urban legends.
These interests have influenced her preference for the supernatural horror and dark fiction genre. COMA is her debut novel, but she has many more ideas (and creatures) that she’s working on, which she hopes to bring to life soon!
When not writing, reading, and playing radio host, K.D. is busy with her three boys, husband, and beagle. Other passions include painting, travelling, touring haunted locations, and working on her two businesses.
